Why Rabbit?

There were many design and media companies with even odder names when Rabbit Design began, many of whom closed many years ago.

At the time, Jane kept Rabbits, and in jest the name was suggested and everything else seeming boring by comparison, it stuck like glue!

Everyone calls Jane “Jane Rabbit” and thinks they shouldn’t and are the only ones to do it, but everyone always remembers it!

It is 15 years in August 2008 since Rabbit opened its doors for business and it’s been an exciting ride! We’ve seen the introduction of email, the massive growth of the internet, and to think that in the first year of trading we even managed without a fax machine! (which again we rarely use!).

We are still working with many clients who have been with us since the beginning, so we must be doing something right!

Derek is the creative genius at Rabbit, and can sort out a problem in a flash!

Likes: reading the Times, watching Discovery and designing (he’ll be pushing a mouse while they are nailing his coffin lid on! (“Stop, you’ve got the leads caught in the handles!”)

Ambition: To collect everything that’s useless! (according to Jane)

Special Skill: While Jane is on the phone talking to a client, from picking bits out of the conversation he solves the problem, scribbles the solution, and throws it to Jane before the phone goes down. What a guy!

Jane (Rabbit) is the person you are most likely to meet - an organisational demon she likes to think she is in charge!

Likes: chocolate, shopping (bargain hunting) and watching soaps.

Ambition: to keep the office tidy and get up to date with everything that needs doing (and pigs might fly...)

Special skill: an expert in paperwork, Jane keeps files going back to when Adam was a lad, and can tell you just how many particular leaflets you ordered in 2001....
